Boscobel Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping for management consultants

Keep your attention on the work clients pay you to do.

Boscobel Bookkeeping keeps the recurring financial administration moving in the background—transactions, reconciliations, BAS preparation and reporting—so your consulting time stays focused on clients, delivery and growth.

  • Owner-led
  • Fully remote
  • Australia-wide

Choosing the right approach

The work belongs somewhere. Put it where it is most useful.

Consulting businesses are lean by design. The right support avoids turning the principal consultant into the practice's after-hours bookkeeper—or using specialist tax-accounting time for routine monthly processing.

Lowest direct cost

Doing it yourself

  • Requires your own time each month
  • You manage coding, records and deadlines
  • Backlogs can build during busy client periods
  • Attention moves away from delivery and business development

Specialist support

Using an accountant

  • Well suited to annual tax returns and planning
  • Appropriate for structure and complex tax matters
  • Specialist time can be costly for routine processing
  • Works best when the bookkeeping file is already clean

A practical division of work

Boscobel Bookkeeping handles recurring transaction work, reconciliations, payroll where selected, and BAS preparation. Your tax agent can then concentrate on the annual return, tax planning, business structure and specialist advice. Each professional's time is used where it adds the most value.

Built around a consulting practice

Simple enough to stay out of your way. Disciplined enough to stay current.

01

Revenue and expenses organised

Bank and card transactions reviewed, coded and reconciled in Xero or MYOB, with the records kept ready for reporting.

02

BAS prepared without a scramble

A regular bookkeeping rhythm means BAS preparation is based on maintained records rather than a quarter-end clean-up exercise.

03

A cleaner handover at year end

Your tax accountant receives organised information and can spend more time on the annual return and advice that requires their specialist expertise.

04

One owner-led relationship

Work is led by Michael Calabrese CA, with direct communication, clear expectations and a no-surprises approach to scope.

Straightforward service options

Choose the level that fits the practice you run today.

These packages are designed for solo and small consulting practices using Xero or MYOB. Final scope is confirmed after a short review of your file and transaction volume.

Reasonable flexibility

Occasional, reasonable instances of exceeding a package limit may be accommodated at the discretion of Boscobel Bookkeeping.

No surprises

Regular or material changes in volume or complexity are discussed before any extra charge or package change applies.

Monthly package fees are invoiced and payable in advance. A transaction means a bank or card line requiring review, coding or reconciliation.

Starting cleanly

A bookkeeping system designed for a solo consulting business.

If your file is new—or has grown untidy—Boscobel Bookkeeping can create or review a straightforward Xero or MYOB setup that supports monthly bookkeeping, BAS preparation and an efficient year-end handover.
